The CN Series motorized linear stages offer a highly compact and cost-optimized design without compromising on precision performance. Their defining feature is the monoblock construction, where the body and guide elements are precision-machined from a single stainless steel profile. This innovative approach eliminates the need for separate guides, resulting in significantly higher mechanical accuracy and superior thermal stability across various operating environments.
The motorized positioning axes utilize a high-quality, preloaded ball screw and a recirculating ball cage mechanism, ensuring short, precise travel paths and achieving outstanding repeatability of less than 1 µm.
For enhanced control, these linear stages are available with an optional Fastech closed-loop stepper motor. This system includes continuous position monitoring, constantly comparing the target position with the actual position to compensate for mechanical errors or missed steps, guaranteeing accurate positioning and ensuring the system holds the desired position while enabling high-speed motion up to 60 mm/s.
Connectivity is streamlined and secure, featuring the robust, miniaturized Harting ix Industrial® Ethernet connector, which ensures that your plug connection is held securely. The linear stages can be easily connected to your system via available interfaces such as Ethernet, RS485 (USB), or EtherCAT. All the necessary parameters are already preset, allowing for immediate closed-loop operation without further programming knowledge. Simplifying motion control: with free software, the compact linear stages can be controlled easily, or you can create your own programs using standard platforms such as MATLAB, LabView, and C++, for which comprehensive libraries and examples are available.
