KESHET-MICRO

KESHET-MICRO offers a complete solution for diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and microscopy analysis. A bright field microscope, integrated with an optical spectrometer, make KESHET-MICRO a powerful solution for analysis of surfaces and materials where location and precision are critical. A complete setup for phosphorescence signal is available also.

Description

Details

We offer a complete optical microscope setup for diffuse reflectance (phosphorescence version is optionally available) spectroscopy measurement of objects. KESHET-MICRO combines diffuse reflectance [DR] spectroscopy measurements and microscopy image of an object for simultaneous inspection. The system is based on a compact fiber spectrometer (KESHET-PHOTON), integrated in a bright field microscope. The fully integrated setup can generate simultaneously a bright field image of an object and a spectral signal which is collected from a specific region in the image (same as confocal microscope). By moving the object, the MICRO enables DR scan where spectral signal collection is limited and marked in the bright field image.

KESHET-MICRO includes the microscope head. KESHET-PHOTON (compact fiber spectrometer) is sold separately and plugged into the MICRO. Both MICRO and PHOTON are usually sold together as a one integrated system. The client can choose the mounting technique in order to fit his setup. We offer a mechanical stage and optical breadboard as a full measurement setup.

Key features:

  • The MICRO generates an optical bright field microscopic image (5 μm resolution) integrated with optical DR spectroscopic signal. The data is generated by a CMOS chip (microscope) in parallel to spectroscopic signal (spectrometer).
  • The MICRO can be used for multiple applications, including life science, printing, textile and more. It has several important advantages over other diffuse reflectance spectroscopy techniques where sampling location and precision are critical.
  • KESHET-MICRO package includes full viewer and SDK, combining image and spectral data.
  • As an illumination source, the MICRO includes a QTH bulb for a wide spectral emission.
  • Phosphorescence spectral microscope:

In order to measure phosphorescence signal, Illumination source can be changed to UV LED for UV excitation. KESHET-PHOTON spectrometer includes a high-quality order-sorting-filter to suppress all UV signal.

How to use?

The sample can be mounted on a XYZ translation stage (we offer XYZ-translation for fully working setup). First, bring the sample to focus (as in regular microscope) where the microscope shows a sharp image. Once the microscope shows a focused image, the system is ready to use. The collection region will be shown on screen, where spectroscopy signal will be plotted in parallel in additional window. Check the user interface page for additional info regarding the GUI.

Features

KESHET-MICRO includes a simple and intuitive graphical user interface [GUI]. In addition to system, you will receive an installer file. Once you installed the program, you can open the app from your desktop shortcut.

KESHET-MICRO GUI has two main windows:

  • Bright field microscopic image
  • DR spectroscopy signal

The GUI includes all functions required for driving the device:

  • Bright field image and spectral plot.
  • Microscope image markers show spectral region and metric scaling.
  • Record/play data: capture image/spectra. Record/play image/spectrum over time.
  • Export: Excel CSV file, jpeg and other image formats.
  • Reference mode: record your spectral reference and compare it to other objects.
  • Report generator: PDF report. GUI screenshot.
  • Check the KESHET-PHOTON’s GUI for additional information about Spectrometer’s GUI .
